When a faction experiences a bust, the wealth of the system it controls is temporarily reduced and the faction’s influence is temporarily diminished. Trade actions do not contribute to boom while a bust is active. A bust typically has to run its course before ending.

Last year, the Alliance established a foothold in the California Nebula with the construction of an outpost in the California Sector BA-A E6 system.

Expansions occur when a minor faction reaches a sufficient level of influence and there is a populated system within striking distance. Expansion is costly, so when a faction expands, the wealth and development level of the system it controls are temporarily reduced.

Factions are considered to be in withdrawal if their level of influence within a system drops below a certain level. If the faction's influence remains low for a total of five days, the faction must leave the system entirely. If the faction manages to increase its level of influence, it remains in the system.

A spokesperson for the Utopia Commune has announced that its campaign for materials has reached a successful conclusion. Hundreds of pilots contributed to the initiative by delivering various commodities to Cenker City, which will be used in a forthcoming research and development programme.

As the campaign drew to a close, Simguru Pranav Antal, leader of Utopia, issued a brief statement.

“Those who contributed to this initiative have my gratitude. Thanks to you, this programme is off to a promising start.”

Pilots who contributed to the initiative can now collect their rewards from Cenker City in the Gucumadhyas system.

Recent reports indicate that the Colonia Co-operative resource drive has received the wholehearted support of the galactic community. The Colonia Co-operative has thanked those who contributed to the campaign, and invited them to collect their rewards from Colonia Dream in the Eol Prou Lw-L C8-76 system.

For several months, the Maia system has been a focal point in the ongoing hostility between the Empire and the Federation.

Now, the Empire and the Federation have announced plans to expand their presence in Maia by constructing new outposts. The Federal campaign is being coordinated by the Pleiades Resource Enterprise, while the Merope Expeditionary Fleet has been authorised to oversee the Imperial initiative.

The rival campaigns begin on the 20th of April 3303 and will run for one week. If either faction achieves its aims earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.
