Sirius Corporation Begins Analysing Wreckage
31 Dec 3301
Last week, the Sirius Corporation launched a search for the remains of the Antares, an innovative passenger liner that disappeared during its maiden voyage in 3251. The initiative piqued the interest of the galactic community, and hundreds of independent pilots took part in the search, scouring the galaxy for remains of the lost ship.
Today, the Sirius Corporation confirmed that it has received thousands of tonnes of space-borne debris, and that it would soon begin analysing the wreckage to determine its origin. Li Yong-Rui, CEO of Sirius Gov, released a brief statement to the media:
"The galactic community has responded to our appeal with great enthusiasm, and we are extremely grateful to all those who took part in the search. Now we must analyse the debris to determine whether any of the wreckage delivered to us is from the Antares. We will make a further announcement as soon as our analysis is complete. Our hope is that the fate of the Antares will not remain a mystery much longer."

"It warms my heart to see so many people giving to their fellow citizens, and helping us spread joy throughout the galaxy. I'd like to thank all those who contributed to this appeal."

Faction Appeals for Fireworks
30 Dec 3301
With the end of the year less than a week away, preparations for New Year celebrations are in full swing throughout the galaxy. One of the most notable is the forthcoming party from Independent Cherets Labour, an organisation based in the Cherets system. According to a recent press release, the organisation has issued an open contract for fireworks with which to mark the start of 3302. But not just any fireworks. Anduliga fireworks.
"If you really want to start the New Year with a bang, you need fireworks. But I'm not talking about those namby-pamby firecrackers you get in Alioth or Achenar. I'm talking about the bone-rattling, teeth-loosening explosives you find in Anduliga. That's why we're offering rewards to anyone who brings Anduliga Fireworks to us here at Buckey Hub."
Independent Cherets Labour has also asked for combat pilots to clear the spaceways of Cherets, to ensure the safety of those delivering fireworks to Buckey Hub. "Anyone who hands in bounty vouchers will be generously compensated," the organisation confirmed.
The appeal begins today and is scheduled to run until the 7th of January.
GalNet Weekly Powers Update Incoming
30 Dec 3301
In the early hours of tomorrow morning (7.00am GMT), the GalNet monitoring of powers' activities will go offline for a short period while the latest data is assembled.
Any pilots who operate for one of the powers must deliver any cargo or vouchers before this time to ensure their activities are registered.
GalNet Weekly Security Digest
29 Dec 3301
In this weekly report, the latest GalNet data is assembled to present ten minor factions experiencing civil unrest or lockdown in their systems.
Here are 10 of the 1,592 minor factions in lockdown:
Ross 41 Industry
Nan Hsie Prison Colony
Kuan Gu aristocrats
47 Ceti Citizens' Forum
Revolutionary Party of Erivit
Revolutionary Party of Wichaimi
Kinne Blue Boys
LP 417-213 Power Solutions
Lovedu Blue Major Inc
People's Party of Huaich
Lockdowns increase the security rating for a system but also have a negative effect on the system's wealth. Increased bounty hunting activity can shorten the lockdown period.
Here are 10 of the 1,510 minor factions experiencing civil unrest:
Julung Society
LP 542-33 Front
BD-00 4461 Jet Transport Systems
Neperimpox Jet Fortune Ind
LP 102-320 Blue State Partners
Barons of Wirang
HIP 26926 Exchange
Democrats of Vetr
Galouri People's Party
7 Alpha Lacertae Dominion
Civil unrest is caused by illegal activity within the system as well completing contracts from more nefarious sources. The wealth rating and standard of living will suffer when a system contains civil unrest. Combat missions and activities can be utilised to end civil unrest.

GalNet Weekly Economic Report
28 Dec 3301
In this weekly digest, the latest GalNet data is compiled to show the economic state of a short list of minor factions and the star systems they inhabit.
Here are 10 of the 11,053 minor factions currently enjoying an economic boom:
LHS 6128 Blue Investments Corp.
Bonitou Jet General Network
Avaticus Crimson Crew
Tepi Services
Wolf 1431 Purple Partnership
Cartel of Galandandes
Belaba United
LTT 135 Empire Consulate
LHS 2405 Jet Allied Co
Blue Major Exchange
When in boom, the wealth of a system is increased for the duration and all trade missions have double the effect on influence. Boom can also positively increase a minor faction's influence. Boom can be entered by consistent trade profits and completed trade contracts. Booms tend to last until they naturally expire or until some other indicator takes precedence, such as famine.
Here are 10 of the 1,304 factions currently experiencing economic bust:
Toco Silver Comms Network
Order of Njorog
United Tellus Order
Bylgit Boys
Bragur United Group
TZ Arietis Purple Council
Narakapani One
Apurui Citizens' Forum
HIP 51197 Central Services
Kruger 60 and Co
The wealth of a system diminishes while in bust and the minor faction's influence is also lessened. The effect of trade contracts and actions do not contribute to boom while a bust is active. A bust generally has to run its course before ending.
Data is correct at time of publishing.

Revolutionary HR 6649 Republic Party
Alliance of Cileni
LP 694-16 Crimson Legal Ind
Green Party of Dulos
